Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Jigawa State Government said workers will soon start enjoying wage allowances and other palliatives.<\/p>\n

The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to him: \u201cI\u2019m appealing to our teaming civil servants to be patient, as the state government will soon announce the agreed amount and month for the payment.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I\u2019m talking to you now, we are about to enter a meeting with the leaders of the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in my office.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the main agenda of the meeting is to discuss and agree on the wage award amount to be given by the state government to its workers.<\/p>\n

He further said that the state government, under the leadership of Gov Umar Namadi, is committed to ensuring the welfare of civil servants.<\/p>\n
