{"id":103787,"date":"2023-12-11T20:45:41","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T19:45:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/pdp-expels-suspended-kwara-youth-leader-haliru-dantsoho"},"modified":"2023-12-11T22:59:43","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T21:59:43","slug":"pdp-expels-suspended-kwara-youth-leader-haliru-dantsoho","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/pdp-expels-suspended-kwara-youth-leader-haliru-dantsoho","title":{"rendered":"PDP expels suspended Kwara Youth Leader, Haliru Dantsoho"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaiama Ward 1, Kaiama Local Government, Kwara South Senatorial District, has expelled the suspended Youth Leader, Prince Haliru Mahmud Dantsoho, from the party.<\/p>\n<p>A letter dated 11th December 2023, signed by the Ward Chairman, Mohammed Nurudeen, and 16 out of 17 executive ward members, said Dantsoho was expelled for gross misconduct arising from raising unsubstantiated allegations against the leadership of the party through videos he circulated on the social media.<\/p>\n<p>The letter was titled, \u2018Expulsion From The Peoples Democratic Party As a Result of Your Act of Gross Misconduct Arising From Your Video Releases of 7th Day of December, 2023\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The letter reads, \u201cBe reminded that you released two videos on the 7th of December 2023 where you made serious unsubstantiated allegations of forgery against the leadership of the party at the state level and by extension, the national leadership of our party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsequently, a query was issued and was duly served on you to the effect that your conduct, and statements in the two videos which you circulated widely on different social media platforms, run foul of the provisions of sections 58(1) (b) (f), (h) and (s) (1) of the PDP constitution 2017( as amended).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegrettably, you refused and or neglected to appear before the Disciplinary Committee set up to look into the matter, to allow you to present your defense accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon careful consideration of your unsubstantiated allegations in the two videos you released, we hereby find you guilty of an act of serious misconduct by the provisions of S.59 (2) of the PDP Constitution 2017(as amended).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccordingly, you are hereby found guilty and you are hereby expelled from Peoples Democratic Party, Kaiama Ward 1 from today, the 11th day of December 2023, by S.59 (i) (g) of the Peoples Democratic Party constitution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy this, you hereby lose all your rights as a member and as an official of the Peoples Democratic Party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to his expulsion, Dantsoho said he had already resigned from the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had already sent my resignation letter from the party this morning before the expulsion was made,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
