Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has revealed that her father didn\u2019t accept her decision to become a football player.<\/p>\n

Nnadozie, who disclosed this while accepting the African Women\u2019s Goalkeeper of the Year gong at the CAF Awards in Morocco, on Monday night, said she was sure her dad would be proud of her latest feat despite not initially supporting her career.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad never wanted me to play [football], but I am sure she will be proud of me tonight,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The Paris FC goalie defeated South Africa\u2019s Andile Dlamini and Morocco\u2019s Khadija Er-Rmichi to clinch the award.<\/p>\n

Nnadozie is the first-choice goalkeeper for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, who also won African Women\u2019s National Team of the Year.<\/p>\n
