Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has called on the Ondo State House of Assembly to invoke the doctrine of necessity over the health condition of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.<\/p>\n

Sowore, who made the call during a town hall meeting in Akure, the state capital, maintained that the Assembly must do the needful.<\/p>\n

Recall that Akeredolu had in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, revealed that he would be embarking on another medical leave.<\/p>\n

In a letter addressed to the Speaker, the governor revealed that he would be transmitting power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, until when he returns from the medical trip.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the town hall meeting, Sowore maintained that there was a need for the governor to leave power and take care of himself.<\/p>\n

He alleged that Akeredolu, who has been sick, was unable to write or sign any document.<\/p>\n

According to him, the House of Assembly must show the world the letter purportedly written by the governor for the medical leave.<\/p>\n
