Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has urged Anambra people living outside the state not to be afraid of coming home for the Christmas festivities.<\/p>\n

In a press release by his press secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor said the days of insecurity in the state are over, adding that his government has restored security in the state.<\/p>\n

Aburime, in the release, stressed Gov Soludo\u2019s assurances and unyielding commitment to the security of lives and property, noting that \u201cAnambra is no longer a dread zone\u201d but a place where peace, joy, and goodwill reign.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you are making preparations for travels and celebrations, it is possible that you remember those dark days in Anambra State when kidnappers ruled and fear of unknown gunmen shadowed every step, and you panicked. Calm down, because those dark days are gone for good in our state.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Soludo has drastically reversed the security situation in Anambra State. He raised a shield, establishing the Ministry of Homeland Affairs dedicated to security, re-strategising with all organs of state security agencies, and empowering vigilant warriors.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, surveillance eyes are everywhere watching, joint security squads are patrolling the streets, and criminal shadows are fading,\u201d the statement affirmed.<\/p>\n

Aburime added that the state government has also made adequate arrangements to ensure that traffic gridlock, which used to be the nightmare of returnees as a result of festivities in communities, is being taken care of.<\/p>\n
