Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Ebonyi State Police Command on Friday said it has rescued 12 kidnap victims and arrested 487 suspected criminals in the state.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner of Police, CP, Augustina Ogbodo made this known in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Abakaliki, the state capital.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver three hundred (300) cases have been reported and more than four hundred and eighty-seven (487) suspects arrested.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne hundred and forty (140) cases and one hundred and eighty-seven (187) suspects were prosecuted and charged to court respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cFifteen (15) accused persons convicted. We have recovered more than twelve (12) stolen vehicles, twenty (20) assorted firearms, three hundred and fifty (350) ammunition of different calibres.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe rescued more than twelve (12) kidnapped victims, and dislodged criminals from their numerous criminal hideouts in different parts of the state,\u201d the CP said.<\/p>\n
