{"id":104932,"date":"2023-12-22T18:42:18","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T17:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/kano-housewife-in-police-net-over-murder-husband-arrested-as-accomplice"},"modified":"2023-12-22T21:01:43","modified_gmt":"2023-12-22T20:01:43","slug":"kano-housewife-in-police-net-over-murder-husband-arrested-as-accomplice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/kano-housewife-in-police-net-over-murder-husband-arrested-as-accomplice","title":{"rendered":"Kano housewife in Police net over murder, husband arrested as accomplice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Police Command in Kano State has arrested a 24-year-old housewife, Hafsat Surajo, for allegedly stabbing her domestic staff, Nafi\u2019u Hafiz, to death.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Police, the incident occurred at Unguwa Uku of Taurani Local Government Area, LGA, of the state.<\/p>\n<p>This was made known on Friday by the Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Gumel.<\/p>\n<p>Gumel, who addressed newsmen, stated that a report was received on December 21 from one Hafizu Salisu that he got a phone call from Daiyanu Abdullahi of Unguwa Uku, Kano, that his brother, Nafi\u2019u Hafiz, is dead.<\/p>\n<p>He added that when the brother arrived the residence at Unguwa Uku, he found several injuries, suspected to be knife stabs, on different parts of the deceased\u2019s body.<\/p>\n<p>The commissioner of police said investigation led to the arrest of the key suspect, Hafsat Surajo, a housewife in the residence where the deceased lived.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the suspect confessed to singlehandedly stabbing the deceased on several parts of his body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer husband, one Dayyabu Abdullahi of the same address, and their gateman, Malam Adamu, were arrested for aiding, packaging and concealing the dead body to give cover up for the culpable homicide,\u201d the CP stated.<\/p>\n<p>Gumel said investigation led to the recovery of a knife with bloodstains used in committing the crime.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the suspect would be charged to court after investigations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
