Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, on Friday, signed the 2024 appropriation bill of N703.02 billion into law.<\/p>\n

The governor while assenting to the bill said the budget would further enhance the development of the state and make it Nigeria\u2019s infrastructure capital.<\/p>\n

The governor spoke in his office in Abeokuta after signing the bill which was presented to him by Mr Olakunle Oluomo, the Speaker of the Ogun House of Assembly.<\/p>\n

The budget tagged \u201cBudget of Sustained Growth and Development,\u201d was presented to the House on Nov. 30, by the governor.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, the state had continued to grow in leaps and bounds in the last five years, noting that the budget was a testament to his administration\u2019s commitment to irrevocable implementation of its vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we assumed office on May 29, 2019, we were committed to a vision to ensure that we create an enabling environment for investments and investors to thrive in Ogun State.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that it is very fundamental to the economic development of our state and the individual prosperity of our people.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we have a budget that has become law, that is more than twice our budget when we assumed office.<\/p>\n

\u201cYear after year, we have successfully implemented our budget to the tune of a minimum of 70 per cent,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
