Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, has noted that poor leadership and ill-conceived policies have been the bane of Nigerian governments since independence in 1960.<\/p>\n

The party, however, is hopeful that in 2024, Nigerians will take their destiny in their hands and hold governments at all levels accountable in renewed effort to build a better society.<\/p>\n

The party said this in a New Year message titled \u2018New Dawn\u2019 and signed by its National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle.<\/p>\n

APM said it sees the light in the tunnel of national rebirth and national reconstruction that will accelerate economic growth, political stability and social cohesion, but maintained that Nigerians must join hands to redirect the ship of state from its perilous course that has impoverished millions of compatriots.<\/p>\n

\u201cTough times never last, tough, resilient, resourceful people do. With God in our side, we shall overcome all obstacles and move the nation to the next level of prosperity and greatness.<\/p>\n

\u201cNigeria is the only country we can call our own; we are duty bound to halt the drift to economic stagnation, political upheavals, ethnic conflicts, terrorism, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping,\u201d it stated.<\/p>\n
