Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Alex Iwobi has vowed the Super Eagles will go for the ultimate prize at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles are among the 24 teams that will compete for honours in Cote d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

The West Africans have won the title three times in the past.<\/p>\n

They last tasted success in the competition in South Africa in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans know the quality we have in the team, from each man that is in the squad and the ones that didn\u2019t make the squad, there is a lot of talents in the squad,\u201d the Fulham star told the Super Eagles media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have confidence we can go far in this competition, but we have to prove it and assure the fans that we can prove ourselves. They can be sure we will make the nation proud.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iwobi also commented on the team\u2019s preparations for the AFCON.<\/p>\n

\u201cPreparation has been good, we are in Abu Dhabi right now. We have got some friendlies to warm up before the AFCON, \u201cadded the former Arsenal player.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is almost complete here, the squad is almost complete and we are also training well.\u201d<\/p>\n
