Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Youth League Chairman Pastor Emeka Inyama has called on clubs to ensure proper documentation of their players ahead of the U-17 tournament.<\/p>\n

Inyama said proper documentation is required to avoid a situation where some clubs would have their players disqualified.<\/p>\n

The NPFL Youth League screening exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2024, while the zonal qualification will kick-start on February 1\u20133 across different centres.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be very intentional and meticulously strict in enforcing the rules to ensure that nobody who is ineligible plays in the competition because the youth teams are the future of the NPFL,\u201d he told NPFL Media.<\/p>\n

\u201cClubs have been communicated on the eligibility criteria, and they are expected to get every piece of documentation ready to make the screening easy for all involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clubs are expected to arrive at their centres on January 30 to commence the screening.<\/p>\n

The NPFL Youth League will be held across five centres, namely Enugu for South East teams, Lafia for North Central teams, Kaduna for North West and North East teams, Asaba for South South teams and Ekiti for South West teams.<\/p>\n
