Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje has said he would be the \u201cgrandfather\u201d of the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso if he joins the ruling party.<\/p>\n

Addressing APC supporters in Kano, Ganduje said: \u201cIf you are an APC membership card holder, you are a subordinate and follower of the national leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you defect to APC today, you are our subordinate and follower. It is important for you to note this; a child of the household and a stranger are all under the care of the head of the house.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne who has what to offer is the one who welcomes others. One that doesn\u2019t have anything to offer is the one looking for where to enter. Lend me your ears, I want to tell you a story.<\/p>\n

\u201c36 states and Abuja wherever I go I am the King, I am the Sheikh, I am Modibbo, I am Alanguburo. So, same thing here at home.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are calling on the NNPP to pack those perishable fruits where they will be preserved in a fridge so that they will not \u2018get spoiled\u2019 or rotten.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I told you people, whoever you are and your status in the party even if you are \u2018Jagora\u2019 (leader) once you come to APC then your grandfather is here!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kwankwaso is called Jagora by Kwankwasiyya members in Kano and other parts of the country.<\/p>\n

There are reports of President Bola Tinubu working to reconcile Ganduje and Kwankwaso as part of a build up to the 2027 presidential election.<\/p>\n
