Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Super Eagles have so far earned a whopping $2.5m as prize money after reaching the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.<\/p>\n

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a 40 per cent increase in prize money on the eve of the competition.<\/p>\n

The prize money is different from the bonus and allowances the players received from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).<\/p>\n

The overall winner of the AFCON will pocket $7 Million, while the beaten finalists earn $4 Million.<\/p>\n

Quarterfinalists will receive $1.3 Million each, while Round of 16 qualifiers got $800,000 a team.<\/p>\n

Nigeria will face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
