Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr. Nyesom Wike, has announced that the FCT Civil Service Commission will begin operations soon.<\/p>\n

Wike announced this on Monday while inaugurating the construction of a five-kilometre dual carriageway in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.<\/p>\n

The former Governor stated that this development marks a first in the history of the territory, adhering to the provisions of the FCT Civil Service Commission (CSC) Law, 2018.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that in October 2023, Wike announced President Bola Tinubu\u2019s approval for the establishment of the CSC for the FCT.<\/p>\n

He explained that the establishment of the civil service commission would enable civil servants in the FCT Administration to advance to become permanent secretaries.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery soon, the FCT Civil Service Commission will be announced. This has never happened before.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. President means well for the FCT. That is why you must continue to defend the mandate of Jagaban (Tinubu) because he means well for the entire country\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Wike stated this initiative aligns with President Tinubu\u2019s renewed hope agenda, aimed at restoring hope among the populace.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe renewed hope agenda is not just on paper; it is practical because you can see it, feel it, and touch it. I know things may not be moving as fast as we expect, but what is important is that Nigerians are beginning to rekindle their hope for change,\u201d Wike said.<\/p>\n
