Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Police said it has arrested an ex-convict and five others for alleged armed robbery in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed by FCT Police Commissioner Benneth Igweh, who said that the suspects were arrested during a coordinated raid of an uncompleted hospital building in Utako village on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Parading the suspects on Friday, Igweh added that they were arrested by police officers from Utako Divisional Headquarters.<\/p>\n

The suspects, Basara Hassan, Daniel Charles, Adamu M. Oshiaka, Chancy Asidi, and Saliu Al Hassan, were all from states bordering FCT.<\/p>\n

Exhibits recovered from them include a locally made pistol, two live cartridges, and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther investigation about the recovered ammunition led to the arrest of Yusuf Iliyasu, aka Tablet, who is an ex-convict and the syndicate leader,\u201d the commissioner of police stated.<\/p>\n
