Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has called for collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to enhance agricultural production in the state.<\/p>\n

Sule made this appeal during his visit to the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Abuja, where he aimed to strengthen the existing partnership between the federal and state governments to ensure food security.<\/p>\n

Governor Sule hinted at the state\u2019s role as a major producer of sesame seeds, cassava, yam, and rice, expressing his administration\u2019s commitment to leveraging this potential and actively participating in the ministry\u2019s agricultural initiatives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here from Nasarawa State because the state has been known in the area of agriculture, and we believe that we can buy in and participate in everything that this ministry is doing,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

During the visit, Governor Sule provided updates on various agricultural projects in Nasarawa State, particularly in commercial agriculture, mentioning partnerships with industry giants such as Olam Farms, Dangote Group, Nigeria Flour Mills Limited and Azman Farms.<\/p>\n

In his response, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, commended the governor\u2019s proactive approach and stressed the importance of collaboration between the federal and state governments to significantly enhance food production in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Kyari expressed confidence that the synergy between different levels of government would yield positive results in the country\u2019s efforts to improve agricultural productivity.<\/p>\n
