Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has described the death of the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, as a big loss to the Nigerian banking industry.<\/p>\n

Wigwe died alongside his wife and son in a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border, United States of America.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued by the Governor\u2019s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, in Gusau, on Sunday, Governor Lawal expressed grief over the death of Wigwe and his family.<\/p>\n

According to him, Wigwe\u2019s death was a significant loss not only to his family and friends but to the business community in the country and the entire continent of Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lost a friend who had made immense contributions to the banking industry in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cLate Herbert Wigwe had left an indelible mark on the banking industry in Nigeria through his tireless work and dedication.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis contributions were significant and far-reaching, impacting his immediate professional circle and the wider business community.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have had a personal relationship with the late Wigwe since my days in the banking sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay the family, friends, and associates of Wigwe be granted the fortitude to bear this significant loss. He will always be remembered,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
