Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A community health officer in Badon Hanya, Jamilu B. Yusuf, in Sokoto metropolis, has been arrested by men of the Sokoto State Police Command for allegedly treating bandits and kidnappers.<\/p>\n

Parading the suspect on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Ali Kaigama, explained that he was arrested along with 12 others on their way to Tambuwal for a mission.<\/p>\n

According to the Commissioner of Police, the health worker was the one treating injured suspects.<\/p>\n

Kaigama added, \u201cThree AK-47 rifles with 116 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yusuf, while speaking to newsmen, confessed to treating bandits anytime they sustained gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

He added that they were paying him up to N100,000 per patient.<\/p>\n
