Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the shooting to death of one trader by operatives of the state Anti-touting Squad at the Science Equipment Market, Head Bridge, Onitsha.<\/p>\n

The command\u2019s spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said that several others were injured.<\/p>\n

According to him, the incident happened at about 4:30 pm on Friday at the Head Bridge market, adding that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Aderemi Adeoye, had ordered a probe into the development.<\/p>\n

He said that the state commissioner of police has ordered the immediate transfer of a reported murder incident that happened at the Head Bridge market.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officers led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Head Bridge, on receipt of the information, they got to the scene and saw a young man in a pool of his blood while another was injured.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victims were rushed to the hospital where the doctor confirmed one dead.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe police also recovered six expanded cartridges from the scene,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
