Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Unknown persons on Friday allegedly broke into the house of the President-General of Umuoji community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Silas Onyima, and killed him.<\/p>\n

The community leader, popularly known as Chief Sly, was later discovered naked in a pool of blood, inside a bathtub.<\/p>\n

Details of his murder have remained sketchy as of the time of filing this report, just as his killers have remained unknown.<\/p>\n

Police authorities in Anambra State confirmed the incident, saying the command was working with locals to identify the killers.<\/p>\n

State Police Command\u2019s spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the body of the slain community leader has been recovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I\u2019m aware of the incident. The command immediately sent operatives there, and the body of the PG has been retrieved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working with locals to identify the perpetrators of the act, in order to bring them to book. Calm has also been restored in the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
