Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>At least four former Nigeria internationals have been linked with the national team job, after Jose Peseiro confirmed he is leaving on Friday.<\/p>\n

Peseiro, in a statement posted on social media, bid farewell to the role days after he said he was taking a break.<\/p>\n

Finidi George, who worked with the Portuguese at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as an assistant, is one of those being considered as a replacement, even on a temporary basis.<\/p>\n

The others are Emmanuel Amuneke, who is a successful U17 coach and also handled the Tanzania national.<\/p>\n

Augustine Eguavoen, the current Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, could return for a fourth stint as coach.<\/p>\n

Also in the frame is former captain and coach of the Eagles, Sunday Oliseh.<\/p>\n
