Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC, has arrested an 85-year-old suspected kidnapper, Ibrahim Usman, at Yar\u2019adua quarters, Rimin Kebe, Ungogo LGA.<\/p>\n

The Command\u2019s spokesman, Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement.<\/p>\n

He said the suspect abducted a 3-year-old boy in his neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

According to him, the suspect attempted to hide him in his friend\u2019s residence situated at Hotoro bye-pass in Kano State but upon suspecting foul play, the friend refused to keep the boy in his custody and decided to alert residents where the suspect lived at Rimin Kebe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis development led the suspect to run away and he was later picked up by personnel of the Corp\u2019s Ungogo division.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorthy of note is that the suspect had in the last two months collected the victim\u2019s father\u2019s phone number but never called him for once,\u201d Abdullahi said.<\/p>\n

Abdullahi, however, revealed that the investigation into the case has reached an advanced stage and upon conclusion, the suspect will be charged to court.<\/p>\n
