Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has okayed the reduction of official work hours for civil servants in the state in the spirit of Ramadan.<\/p>\n

The State Commissioner for Establishment, Pensions and Training, Auwal Manu-Dogondaji, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe official time frame has been reduced by two hours daily.<\/p>\n

\u201cConsequently, the new working hours from Monday to Thursday is 8:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., while on Friday it is from 8:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cNormal working hours will be reverted to normal hours at the end of Ramadan period.\u201d<\/p>\n

The commissioner further stated that the gesture was a demonstration of magnanimity by the governor in the spirit of Ramadan.<\/p>\n

He said it was also to give civil servants the opportunity to discharge their normal religious activities with ease.<\/p>\n
