{"id":113059,"date":"2024-03-13T21:25:50","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T20:25:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/insecurity-zamfara-bans-tinted-glass-unlabeled-bread"},"modified":"2024-03-13T23:38:17","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T22:38:17","slug":"insecurity-zamfara-bans-tinted-glass-unlabeled-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/insecurity-zamfara-bans-tinted-glass-unlabeled-bread","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: Zamfara bans tinted glass, unlabeled bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>In a bid to ensure full security of lives and properties and also to curtail banditry and other forms of insecurities in Zamafara, Governor Dauda Lawal has signed an executive order prohibiting sales of unlabeled bread and packaging of bread in sacks, the sale of over 50 litres of petroleum, and the use of tinted glass in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Lawal signed the executive order in his office at the Government House in Gusau, alongside other top government functionaries.<\/p>\n<p>A statement signed by the spokesperson of the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, and issued to newsmen on Wednesday, said executive orders No. 02 and No. 04, 2024, address various concerns identified as contributing factors to the security challenges in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He said the restriction order was issued due to recent attacks in some communities across the state.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement: \u201cFollowing the recent spate of attacks on some communities across some local government areas of the state, particularly Zurmi, Shinkafi, Kaura Namoda, and Talata Mafara, and the resurgence of activities of banditry and kidnapping in communities and some major federal highways in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Lawal has signed Executive Order No. 02, 2024, banning the sale of unlabeled and packaged bread in sacks and prohibiting some unwanted activities in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll bakery production companies and enterprises must label their bread with the full address and particulars of their production factory with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll petroleum filling stations in the state shall not sell more than fifty (50) litres of petrol to vehicles at a time. Petroleum product sales at filling stations are also restricted from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransportation and sale of bread are restricted within the capital of every local government. For Gusau, the restriction is limited to the following areas: Damba\u2014Zaria Road; Gada Biyu\u2014Sokoto Road; Command Guest House along Kaura Namoda Road; Gusau Garage\u2014Dansadau Road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Executive Order No. 04 signed by the governor, prohibits tinted glass in Zamfara.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVehicle owners are prohibited from covering their licence plate numbers while driving.
