Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>England manager, Gareth Southgate warned Marcus Rashford that he has to \u2018battle\u2019 and work hard to secure his place in the squad for the Euro 2024 tournament.<\/p>\n

Southgate emphasized that Rashford has stiff competition from rising stars such as Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer and Phil Foden, and must continue to perform consistently.<\/p>\n

Rashford has had a challenging season with only seven goals in 34 appearances for Manchester United but has still been included in England\u2019s latest 25-man squad for the warm-up friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.<\/p>\n

Southgate has expressed his confidence in Rashford\u2019s ability and expects him to raise his performance ahead of the Euros.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has a battle on his hands with Gordon, with Palmer, with Foden, so we\u2019ve got big competition for places in that area,\u201d Southgate said as quoted by Metro UK.<\/p>\n
