A 32-year-old member representing Ibarapa East State constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin, has emerged Speaker of the House.<\/p>\n
Ogundoyin, a second term lawmaker, emerged as the Speaker shortly after the Governor, Mr. Seyi Makinde inaugurated the Assembly on Monday morning.<\/p>\n
Ogundoyin came to the 8th Assembly last year after he won the by-election which was held after the death of the former Speaker, Mr. Michael Adeyemo who died on Friday, 27th April 2018.<\/p>\n
Ogundoyin, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also won the March 9th House of Assembly election and got elected to the present 9th Assembly.<\/p>\n
He emerged unopposed with a unanimous voice vote of the 32 members Assembly.<\/p>\n
the new Speaker is an alumnus of Babcock University.<\/p>\n
He is an Agronomist by profession.<\/p>\n
Adebebo Ogundoyin is one of the sons of the late foremost philanthropist and industrialist, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, a native of Eruwa in Oyo State.<\/p>\n
The new Speaker is a football lover and fan of the Red Devils \u2013 Manchester United.<\/p>\n
