Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Presidency has reacted to the rescue of the abducted students from Kuriga area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n

President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, thanked God for the release of the students, while commending Governor Sani Uba.<\/p>\n

Posting on X, Onanuga wrote: \u201cWe thank God that the kids have been released by their captors. Congrats Gov. Sani.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 287 Kuriga school children recently abducted by the bandits in Kaduna State have regained their freedom.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed by Governor Uba Sani in the early hours of Sunday.<\/p>\n

Recall that bandits terrorizing the state had invaded LEA Primary School Kuriga and Junior Secondary School, Kuriga town, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state on March 7 and whisked away 287 students, including a principal, Abubakar Isah to an unknown destination.<\/p>\n

The assailants demanded for N1 billion ransom as the only condition for the release of the children.<\/p>\n

It was unclear if the children were rescued by security operatives or ransom was paid.<\/p>\n
