Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A man, Chizoke Obiadada, and his son, Micheal Obiadada, have landed in police net for joining hands to beat their neighbour\u2019s wife, Tope Owoade, to death in the Ogijo Area of Ogun State.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Omolola Odutola, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to the police, the incident occurred after the deceased asked Obiadada not to sit on a table which she used in selling cow skin, popularly known as \u2018ponmo\u2019.<\/p>\n

As a result, Obiadada and his son engaged the woman in a fight, inflicting injuries on her, which eventually led to her death later the same day.<\/p>\n

The deceased\u2019s husband, Isiaka Owoade, reported the incident.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, \u201cOn the 29th of March, 2024 when he (Isiaka Owoade) returned from a journey, his late wife informed him that on the previous day which was the 28th of March, 2024, at about 2030hrs, one Chizoke Obiadada, \u2018m\u2019, 54 years, and his son, one Micheal Obiadada, \u2018m\u2019, 17 years, his known neighbours, hacked his wife in fist blows, beating her up mercilessly, by inflicting fatal injuries on his wife which resulted in her bleeding severely from the womb and in her private part.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she cautioned the duo not to sit on the work table she uses in selling edible animal skin.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe stated that his wife was rushed to Main Frame private hospital and Kunle Hospital Atan Agowa, and she was rejected.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe further stated that his wife gave up the ghost while she was being taken to a government hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Owoade\u2019s report at the Ogijo Divisional headquarters, the police arrested Obiadada and his son and transferred them to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.<\/p>\n
