Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has said that he is aware of the plights faced by the people and noted that efforts are on ground to ameliorate the current economic hardship.<\/p>\n

Nwifuru made the disclosure in an Easter message he personally signed and enjoined Ebonyians to remain steadfast and supportive as his government is working hard to bring the people out of the misery.<\/p>\n

According to him: \u201cOn this special day of Easter, the government and people of Ebonyi State join Christians all over the world in celebrating Easter\u2014an event commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from death.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt marks the end of Lent, a period of sacrifice and contemplation of the wondrous works of God and it is a day of hope, joy, renewal and rebirth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt commemorates Christ\u2019s resurrection, a constant reminder of God\u2019s love and the promise of redemption for us all.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a season of deep contrition and sober reflections, we have reflected on all those who are suffering from violence and grief, social isolation, illness, poverty, deprivation and other hardships.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor added: \u201cAs a responsive government, we keep propounding approaches towards getting our people out of every misery within the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so today, we hold close to the Easter message that nothing \u2013 not even death \u2013 can match the power of faith, hope, and love.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, I urge you to always remember the sacrifices of our Lord Jesus Christ and recommit yourselves to love God with all our hearts , embracing His call to treat one another with compassion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge you to use this period to pray for peace, social cohesion, progress and healing in all areas of our national life.\u201d<\/p>\n
