Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The commercial town of Ore, in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, was thrown into mourning on Saturday following a fatal accident that claimed the lives of two siblings.<\/p>\n

The siblings, whose identities were yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, met their untimely demise when a truck loaded with sand rammed into their motorcycle at the Idi-Mango axis of Ore along the Okitipupa-Ore highway.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the accident was caused by carelessness on the part of the siblings as they attempted to navigate their motorcycle onto the highway.<\/p>\n

According to the residents, the truck, laden with sand, was unable to avoid the motorcycle as the siblings\u2019 miscalculation led to the fatal collision.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one of the residents, who narrated what transpired, said, \u201cThey were trying to link the road from Idi-Mango when they suddenly realised that the truck had approached them. I think they didn\u2019t observe very well to check for coming vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe driver of the truck ran away after the incident while the truck has been taken to the police station in Ore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Confirming the accident, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ezekiel SonAllah, advised that motorcyclists should always endeavour to avoid over-speeding while on the highway.<\/p>\n

SonAllah added that \u201cthe victim\u2019s corpses were deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary in Ore, while the crashed vehicles were handed over to the NPF Ore Division\u201d.<\/p>\n
