Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Northern Senators Forum has sent their warm greetings to Muslims as they celebrate Eid Mubarak, marking the end of their Ramadan fasting.<\/p>\n

In a statement which was issued by the Chairman of the Forum, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar\u2019adua on Wednesday, he urged Muslims to continue their prayers for the nation.<\/p>\n

The statement said, \u201cAs we bask in the blessings of this sacred occasion, we pray that Allah, SWT, has accepted our acts of worship and that He continues to safeguard our beloved Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us persist in our endeavours to foster a peaceful and cohesive society that cherishes the principles of liberty, human dignity, and prosperity for all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yar\u2019adua said all Muslims need to be steadfast in prayers for President Bola Tinubu and all political leaders to lead the nation alright so that they could enhance the fortunes of the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI extend my warm congratulations to His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa\u2019ad Abubakar, the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), and all Muslim organizations and our Muslim brethren for observing a month of Ramadan devoted to peace and spirituality, culminating in the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we transition from the holy month of Ramadan, let us embody the virtues that we have cultivated during this period.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us emulate the spirit of brotherhood, extend individual and communal support, contribute to nation-building, offer prayers for the welfare of our country and its leadership, abide by the laws of the land, and uphold exemplary conduct and the overarching values of Ramadan.\u201d<\/p>\n

He called on citizens to be committed to combating injustice, immorality, unfairness, corruption, and inequality.<\/p>\n
