Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, has passed away.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin Branch, Kwara State, Kamaldeen Gambari, announced his death on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Belgore retired as a Justice of the Court of Appeal on April 18, 2023, upon reaching the retirement age of 70.<\/p>\n

\u201cInformation reaching me now indicates that Hon. Justice Ahmad Olarewaju Belgore, PCJA (retd.) is dead.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay Allah forgive his shortcomings,\u201d Gambari said in a social media post<\/p>\n

His death has been described as a significant loss by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.<\/p>\n

In a statement by his spokesman, Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir expressed shock at Belgore\u2019s demise, describing him as a complete gentleman and a thorough judicial officer who served the nation meritoriously in various capacities, both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with shock that I received the news of the demise of Justice Ahmad Belgore.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a complete gentleman, a thorough judicial officer who served the nation meritoriously in various capacities, nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was one of the finest justices that the Ilorin Emirate has ever produced. He contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of the judiciary and humanity in general. The statement reads.<\/p>\n

The Emir extended his condolences to Belgore\u2019s immediate and extended family, as well as to the entire people of Ilorin and Nigerians at large.<\/p>\n
