The incident occurred at the Ishieke Junction on the outskirts of Abakaliki metropolis.<\/p>\n

According to sources in the area, the gunmen killed one policeman and abducted another during the attack. However, these details could not be verified at the time of reporting.<\/p>\n

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the attack, although he stated that the specifics of the incident were still unclear.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cAn incident happened this morning, but I am still trying to get the details.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this point, I can\u2019t confirm much. Let me get my facts right.<\/p>\n
