Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Suspected herdsmen have reportedly macheted to death a pioneer chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ward 10 in Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Elder Francis Amamosa.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred in Amamosa\u2019s farm.m, near the railway line in Okpe quarters, Abavo.<\/p>\n

It was also gathered that the suspected herdsmen abducted two other persons from the scene of incident.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that the suspected herdsmen allegedly attacked the deceased and ordered him out of his farm in an attempt to abduct him.<\/p>\n

Anamosa was said to have resisted the kidnappers, following which the gun-toting herdsmen reportedly opened fire at him.<\/p>\n

It was also gathered that when the bullets failed to penetrate the politician, the assailants resorted to the use of a machete to inflict cuts on him until he died.<\/p>\n

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe is yet to pick calls or reply to SMS and WhatsApp messages sent to him for confirmation.<\/p>\n
