Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has saluted the workers of Benue State, acknowledging their significant contributions to the state\u2019s development, as they celebrate this year\u2019s May Day.<\/p>\n

Aligning with the 2024 Labour Day theme, \u201cEnsuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate,\u201d the governor pointed out his administration\u2019s efforts to prioritize workers\u2019 welfare.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Alia noted that his administration has renovated the State Secretariat and provided a dedicated 33KVA transformer to ensure a healthy and conducive work environment.<\/p>\n

The governor assured workers of prompt salary payments, settlement of owed arrears, attention to promotions and allowances, and training and retraining opportunities.<\/p>\n

Alia stated that workers\u2019 issues will always be a prime concern for his government.<\/p>\n

The governor urged workers to embrace transparency, compassion, accountability, and sincerity in their duties.<\/p>\n

While wishing the workers a happy celebration, He encouraged them to support his efforts by delivering in their assigned roles and remaining apolitical at all times.<\/p>\n
