Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Kogi Central senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reacted to the invasion Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara, saying it is unacceptable.<\/p>\n

Reports said the school was stormed by bandits on Thursday night, with several students who were studying for the forthcoming semester examination abducted.<\/p>\n

Natasha, in a statement on Friday, equally called for improved security across Kogi State, describing the attack as \u201cunfortunate and unacceptable,\u201d adding that innocent students should not be subjected to such a heinous act.<\/p>\n

She stressed that learning environments must be protected from such attacks and urged security agencies to ensure the safe release of the students and bring the perpetrators to justice.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker offered her support and assistance to ensure the students\u2019 safe return and emphasised the need for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.<\/p>\n

According to information released by the university, the attack occurred at approximately 8:23 pm on Thursday, May 9th, when gunmen attacked the university, located in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State and abducted an unspecified number of students who were studying for their first-semester examinations.<\/p>\n
