{"id":118856,"date":"2024-05-17T09:27:47","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T08:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/rivers-crisis-im-most-abused-gov-but-i-dont-want-trouble-fubara"},"modified":"2024-05-17T11:41:57","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T10:41:57","slug":"rivers-crisis-im-most-abused-gov-but-i-dont-want-trouble-fubara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/rivers-crisis-im-most-abused-gov-but-i-dont-want-trouble-fubara","title":{"rendered":"Rivers crisis: I\u2019m most abused gov, but I don\u2019t want trouble\u2019 \u2013 Fubara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has described himself as the most abused person in the State but has remained calm in the face of serious provocations.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, urged people of the state to remain calm and allow peace to reign because he is against trouble.<\/p>\n<p>The governor\u2019s remark came on the bedrock of his rift with his predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.<\/p>\n<p>Fubara and Wike have been at loggerheads over the political control and resources of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the cold war, despite President Bola Tinubu\u2019s intervention, the governor declared that his enemies had been defeated.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that his political rivals in the state now sleep with their eyes open and are restless.<\/p>\n<p>However, speaking during the flag-off of the construction of Elele-Omoku Road on Thursday, Fubara said: \u201cAs a matter of fact, I am the most abused, \u2018mumu governor wey no know wetin to do with power,\u2019 Is it not?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHave I said anything?
