Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Sokoto United have revealed the reason behind their decision to sack their former head coach, Mansur Abdullahi.<\/p>\n

The club stated that the erstwhile coach showed persistence lack of dedication and commitment to the team\u2019s objectives.<\/p>\n

Sokoto United also accused coach Abdullahi of engaging in activities detrimental to the image and reputation of the team, management, and the state\u2019s Ministry of Youths and Sports Development.<\/p>\n

Abdullahi was sacked from his position despite securing a Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff slot for the club.<\/p>\n

Sokoto United recently appointed his assistant, Peter Ajani, as their new coach.<\/p>\n

Ajani will be in charge of the club at the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff tournament.<\/p>\n

Sokoto United will square up with Sporting Supreme in their opening match of the competition.<\/p>\n

The Super Eight playoff tournament will run from 7-14, June 2024.<\/p>\n
