Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The House of Representatives has asked the Nigerian Army to open the Banex Plaza in Abuja and end the illegal shutdown of the market.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that the Army shut down the popular plaza on Tuesday after an officer was reportedly mobbed.<\/p>\n

The House called for the opening of the market on Thursday following the adoption of a motion moved by Whingan Olusesan from Lagos State.<\/p>\n

In the motion, the lawmaker narrated the circumstances that led to the mob action and the subsequent action of the military.<\/p>\n

He condemned the action of the military and called for better crisis management through the use of \u201csurveillance technology\u201d.<\/p>\n

The motion was subsequently adopted by the lawmakers when it was put to vote by the Deputy Speaker, Ben Kalu.<\/p>\n
