Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>An Iyaganku Magistrates\u2019 Court, Ibadan, on Friday remanded Imole Dauda, 19, and Lateef Tajudeen, 30, for allegedly flogging a 22-year-old to death with \u2018koboko\u2019.<\/p>\n

The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and murder.<\/p>\n

The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, did not take their pleas for want of jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

She directed the police to return the case file to the state Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.<\/p>\n

Osho adjourned the case until July 18 for mention.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendants committed the murder on May 10 at 8.00 a.m. at Ilupeju, Ibadan.<\/p>\n

Adegbite alleged that the duo unlawfully caused the death of Mr Tosin Adenuga by flogging him with \u2018koboko\u2019 all over his body.<\/p>\n

He said that the offences contravened sections 516 and 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.<\/p>\n
