Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The management of Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, ADSIEC, has been reconstituted.<\/p>\n

The chairman and members of the commission were sworn-in at the state capital, Yola, on Friday.<\/p>\n

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri supervised the event, which was held in the Council Chambers of Government House, after the confirmation of the appointees earlier by members of the state House of Assembly.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Umar Jabu was sworn-in as Chairman while Zidon Love, Emmanuel Anuhu Abba, Gidado Abdussalam, Mark Balanso, Suleiman Yahaya Vokna, and Mohammed Tuki took their own oaths as members.<\/p>\n

Governor Fintiri, while congratulating the new electoral officers, said their appointment was based on their integrity and experience.<\/p>\n

He asked them to discharge their new assignment with utmost dedication.<\/p>\n

The governor specifically tasked them to see about conducting election into the state local government councils as soon as they could.<\/p>\n

In a vote of thanks, the new ADSIEC chairman gave assurance that the commission under him will hit the ground running.<\/p>\n

The oath of office and allegiance were administered on the chairman and members of the state electoral commission by the state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.<\/p>\n
