Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Lagos State Police command says the number of casualties that occurred following the collapsing of a mosque at the Papa Ajao area of the state is still unknown.<\/p>\n

The mosque collapsed on Sunday while worshipers were observing afternoon prayers.<\/p>\n

Several lifeless bodies were recovered from the rubble, while those injured have been rushed to hospitals.<\/p>\n

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin saidthat efforts are still on to remove bodies of those trapped in the rubble.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happened in Papa Ajao, Mushin. Efforts on to remove people from the rubble.<\/p>\n

\u201cFigures cannot be ascertained yet\u201d, the PPRO said in a text messageon Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
