Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has commended Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State on his achievements in the past year in office.<\/p>\n

Ahmad, however, vowed to criticize Governor Abba for his shortcomings whenever necessary.<\/p>\n

Posting on X, the former presidential aide prayed for more wisdom to enable the governor navigate the state to greater heights.<\/p>\n

According to Ahmad: \u201cCongratulations to Gov. Abba K. Yusuf on his one year in office. We commend him for his achievements and criticize him where we have observed shortcomings.<\/p>\n

\u201cOverall, I wish him the best and pray for more wisdom as he continues to navigate ways to take our state to greater heights.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is coming amid the heightened tension in Kano State over the Emirate tussle.<\/p>\n

Governor Yusuf had reinstated Muhammed Sanusi as the 16th Emir of Kano while dethroning Aminu Ado Bayero.<\/p>\n

Last week, the Kano State House of Assembly had amended a 2019 law which was used by Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano at the time, to depose Sanusi as Emir.<\/p>\n

The 2019 legislation had balkanised the emirate into Bichi, Rano, Karaye, Kano and Gaya.<\/p>\n

The repealed version sacked the Emirs of all the jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

However, while all the deposed Emirs have complied with the governor\u2019s directive to vacate their palaces, Bayero has not<\/p>\n
