Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili, has charged President Bola Tinubu and National Assembly leaders against threatening or intimidating labour leaders.<\/p>\n

Ezekwesili also cautioned Tinubu and the National Assembly leaders against blackmailing labour leaders and negotiators.<\/p>\n

She was reacting to reports that soldiers were surrounding venue of the meeting between labour leaders and the Federal government over minimum wage negotiation.<\/p>\n

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, had raised an alarm that soldiers via a post on X that reads: \u201cSoldiers are Presently sorrounding the venue of the meeting between Labour and Government at the premises of the SGF.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reacting, Ezekwesili urged labour leaders not to be threatened by the presence of the soldiers.<\/p>\n

Posting on X, the former Minister wrote: \u201cI don\u2019t quite understand this information.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes it mean that the Union Leaders of<\/p>\n

@NLCHeadquarters and @OfficialTUCN<\/p>\n

are feeling threatened?<\/p>\n

\u201cIf so, that\u2019s definitely not good for the Negotiations, @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov @NGRSenate @nassnigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cForget intimidating or blackmailing the Labor leaders and negotiators. Adopt Confidence-building measures now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the wise way to go. Wisdom is profitable to direct.\u201d<\/p>\n
