US-based Nigerian striker, Ediomo Mbosowo, says he is ready to play for his fatherland if he is invited to the country\u2019s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles.<\/p>\n
The youngster, who plays for Oklahoma Energy FC 01 Boys in the United States Youth Soccer competition, is hoping to contribute positively to the fortunes of the Flying Eagles after watching the team at the just-concluded U-20 World Cup in Poland.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been watching the Nigerian junior national team and I feeI I have something to contribute for the progress of the team if given the chance by the team handlers. The experience I\u2019ve garnered playing in the United States will be of great help to the team if I\u2019m given the chance to prove myself,\u201d the 18-year-old said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving scored eight goals this season and helped my club to the third position in our league, I feel I\u2019m in a position to help correct the goal drought of the U-20 national team, which I believe would have performed better at both the U-20 AFCON and the U-20 World Cup, if I were a member of that team.\u201d<\/p>\n
The utility player, who won the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference 2019 Male Soccer Defensive Player of The Year, stated that while it is the duty of the coaches to select those they feel will give them the desired results, he wants the coaching crew to look into his profile and probably watch his games, saying it will convince them of his skills and usefulness to the team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
