Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the date for the coronation of the Olubadan-designate, Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin.<\/p>\n

Makinde, in a statement signed by the commissioner for information, Dotun Oyelade, said that the Olubadan-designate would be given staff and instruments of office on July 12, 2024.<\/p>\n

The statement was made available on Friday in Ibadan, the state capital.<\/p>\n

Our correspondent gathered that the announcement is coming after groups and individuals have raised their voices over the delay in the coronation of the Olubadan-designate.<\/p>\n

Olakulehin had earlier been nominated and appointed by the kingmakers in April this year.<\/p>\n

Many indigenes have expressed worry over the delay in the coronation of the Olubadan-designate.<\/p>\n

But, Makinde, after much pressure, has finally announced that the new Olubadan would be coronated on July 12.<\/p>\n

The governor, in the statement, advised the people of the state to be patient with the government.<\/p>\n
