Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested one suspect for alleged vandalism in the state.<\/p>\n

This is contained in a statement by the command\u2019s Corps Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, on Tuesday in Kano.<\/p>\n

Idris-Abdullahi said the suspect, who hails from Layin Tankin Magi, Kura Local Government Area of the state, was apprehended by the operatives of the corps attached to the Garun Malam Divisional Office, during midnight patrols.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect was arrested while vandalizing transformer fittings and electric poles at Dakasoye Village, in the Garun Malam Local Government Area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to him, items recovered from the suspect included eight iron rods, three PHCN insulators, 43 quarter rods, three long nuts, an aluminum rod, a hammer and a chisel.<\/p>\n

He said the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.<\/p>\n
