Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Veteran Nigerian singer and social activist, Charles Oputa, known by his stage name, Charly Boy, has chided President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, for dragging the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.<\/p>\n

Onanuga had in a post on his verified X handle, called out Peter Obi for keeping mum on the Supreme Court\u2019s judgement granting financial full autonomy to local governments.<\/p>\n

Onanuga, in his post on Friday, wondered why the former Anambra governor is yet to tweet about the Supreme Court\u2019s decision even after 36 hours.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cWhy is Peter Obi silent?<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than 36 hours after the Supreme Court gave a landmark ruling, granting financial autonomy to Nigeria\u2019s 774 local councils, Mr. Peter Obi, the defeated Labour Party candidate, has yet to utter a word on the epochal judgment.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis silence confirms the belief that he is always quick to tweet unverified news about the Tinubu administration or our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

His post, however, didn\u2019t go down well, as some supporters of Peter Obi stormed the comment section to lambast the presidential aide.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the post, Charly Boy wrote, \u201cWhy are you so shameless\u201d?<\/p>\n

Similarly, a popular Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin wrote, \u201cGo drunk Bayo, you\u2019re home\u201d.<\/p>\n

Also commenting, an X user and influencer, FS Yusuf wrote, \u201cSugar dey him mouth? Why are you looking for what he will say? If your policies will work, you will hear it from the masses and not Peter Obi. Shebi una say una win election\u201d?<\/p>\n
