Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Borno State Police Command said it has arrested a 40-year-old woman for killing her husband with an axe in Kautikari village of Chibok LGA.<\/p>\n

ASP Nahum Daso, the command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, said Aji was arrested for killing her husband with an axe during a fight over their daughter, Rachael Aji, 13, who stole a goat and sold it to an unknown person.<\/p>\n

Following the daughter\u2019s criminal behaviour, the father ordered her to leave the house.<\/p>\n

However, a fight ensued as the mother opposed the order and instantly struck her husband with an axe.<\/p>\n

\u201cLydia Aji struck her husband on the head with an axe and he died instantly.<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigation further revealed that the couple had a misunderstanding. The angry father then asked them to leave his house. The case is still under investigation,\u201d Daso said.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the police also arrested Usakahyel Adamu, 24, in the Kwaya-Kusar Local Government Area for allegedly killing his 90-year-old grandfather.<\/p>\n

The command\u2019s spokesman said the suspect, after an altercation, used a hoe to hit his grandfather on the head, leading to the old man\u2019s death on the spot.<\/p>\n

Daso said the suspects would be charged in court upon completion of investigations.<\/p>\n

The statement also said the police arrested three suspects in possession of Indian hemp and hard drugs and a syndicate of five suspected vandals of public infrastructure with exhibits of vandalised solar street lights and borehole components.<\/p>\n

Three other suspects were also paraded for criminal intimidation after threatening a man to pay them N2 million or risk death.<\/p>\n
