Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A 54-year-old woman, Olakunbi Adene, was gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants in her residence four days after celebrating her birthday.<\/p>\n

The deceased, a popular caterer in the state, was found in a pool of her blood at her residence, located at Oda Road, Akure, Ondo State.<\/p>\n

The mother of two, according to a resident of the area, was full of life while celebrating her birthday before she was hacked to death.<\/p>\n

A resident who spoke in confidence said Adene marked her 54th birthday, during which she entertained her guests at her residence.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cThe deceased, who was a social media enthusiast, posted many of her pictures on Facebook. After the birthday, several well-wishers congratulated her. It was saddening to find her dead some days later.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deceased\u2019s husband, Dele Adene, who described the demise of his wife as a rude shock, said: \u201cI was told that my wife\u2019s corpse was found on her bed in a pool of blood, which showed she was killed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot believe that no arrests have been made up until the moment of talking to you. I feel the suspects should have been arrested. Her phone should be tracked, and I don\u2019t know how dwellers in the building did not know such a thing happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

The daughter of the deceased, Tejumade, also said she had been informed about the murder of her mother.<\/p>\n

When contacted, the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said, \u201cI am aware of the incident, and an investigation is currently ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n
